2-Day Tanzania (Tarangire & Ngorongoro Crater) Safari

7:00 AM: Pick up from the hotel in Arusha. Drive to Tarangire National Park (approx. 1 to 2 hours’ drive) 9:00 AM: Enter Tarangire National Park. Tarangire is famous for its large elephant herds, often seen in the Tarangire River. The park is home to giraffes, zebras, wildebeest, and occasional cheetahs or leopards. With over 500 bird species, it’s a birdwatcher’s paradise, look for yellow-collared lovebirds and lilac-breasted rollers. Scenic game drives pass through baobab-studded landscapes and vast savannahs. 12:00 PM: Picnic lunch in the park 1:00 PM - 5:30 PM: Continue exploring Tarangire and spot more wildlife as you venture deeper into the park. 5:30 PM: Start the drive to your hotel in Karatu for dinner and overnight.

Arrive at the park, complete entry formalities, and stop at the crater rim for stunning panoramic views and photo opportunities before continuing to the descent point 09:00AM: Descend into the Ngorongoro Crater for a thrilling game drive. This area is home to a dense wildlife population, including; lion, elephant, buffalo, and rhino. With over 400 bird species, you may also spot flamingos at Lake Magadi during the wet season. 12:30 PM: Enjoy lunch at a scenic picnic spot within the crater. 1:30 PM - 3:30 PM: Continue your exploration of the crater, searching for more wildlife and soaking in the spectacular scenery. 03:30 PM: Ascend the Crater, spotting wildlife along the way and drive to your hotel in Arusha (approximately 4-hours drive).
