8-Day Nyerere, Mikumi and Ruaha National Park

Enjoy a morning pickup at your hotel in Dar es Salaam at 8:00 am and drive to Nyerere National Park, a 4 hours drive with a washroom stop on the way. Take a short break then proceed with the drive. Arrive in late afternoon and check in at the camp, lunch then leave for evening boat drive at Rufiji River. Return to the camp for dinner and your overnight stay at Nyerere Tented Camp.

After breakfast from the camp with packed lunches, enjoy game drives inside the park. Expect to see large numbers of animals like lion, elephant, giraffe, buffalo, zebra, hyena, etc. You will also see a large variety of birds, wonderful scenery with varied topography including wetlands, dry grassland, light acacia forest and higher ground with vast views of far-off mountains. During the afternoon, you will take your lunch and have some rest before proceeding with the game drive and overnight at the camp.

After breakfast, you will drive to Mikumi National Park via Northern Selous which is 5-6 hours driving. Whilst on safari, you will see a wide variety of bird species, zebra, hippo, hartebeest, wildebeest, impala, warthog, eland antelope, giraffe, buffalo and elephants. If you are lucky, you may also be able to spot lions, leopards and African wild dogs. Several observation towers enable you to overview the park in its entirety. Enjoy a picnic lunch during the day. Dinner and your overnight stay are at Bastian Camp.

After breakfast from the lodge with packed lunches, enjoy full day game drives inside the park and spot many animals. Animals commonly found here include lions, elands, hartebeests, buffalo, wildebeests, giraffes, zebras, elephants and many more. Also, you will stop for lunches at the picnic site before proceeding with game drives to the hippos and crocodiles pool. In the evening, you will return to the lodge for dinner and your overnight stay at Camp Bastian.

After breakfast early in the morning with packed lunches, depart from Mikumi town and drive to Ruaha National Park which is 5 hours via Iringa town. You will be passing though the country side and have nice scenery and beautiful valleys and mountains. Upon arrival, go for the afternoon and evening game drive. Dinner and your overnight stay are at Ruaha Hilltop Lodge.

After breakfast in the morning with packed lunches, drive to the park for a full day game drive. Enjoy a nice view of Ruaha River valley, great animal sightings like kudus, wildebeests, elephants, zebras, lions, hippos, hartebeest, impalas, antelopes, giraffes, and buffalo. Dinner and your overnight stay are at Ruaha Hilltop Lodge.

After early breakfast from your lodge with your packed lunch-boxes, you shall go and enjoy a half-day game drive with great sighting of the animals you missed on other days. You'll have your picnic lunch at 1:00 pm. After your lunch, you will be traveling to Mikumi for dinner and overnight at Camp Bastian.

After breakfast from the hotel/camp, start driving to Dar es Salaam. You will take your lunch in Morogoro before proceeding with the drive. Arrive in the afternoon or late evening at your hotel in Dar es Salaam.
