8-Day Mara River-Crossing Intimacy Journey

Our guide will pick you up at Kilimanjaro International Airport (JRO) or Arusha airport (ARK) and take you to our office in Arusha. As local Tanzanians, our guides know the country and Arusha city well. You’ll drive from airport to Arusha Farm house to check in and have a short briefing of the safari. Later, you will have a town tour if time allows

We will pick you up from your hotel in Arusha. After a 2.5-hour drive through beautiful landscapes, you'll arrive at Tarangire National Park. The name of the park also comes from the Tarangire River, which is the only source of water for wild animals during the dry season. The park is famous for its large number of elephants, baobab trees, and tree-climbing African pythons. At the end of the day, you will go to Marera Valley Lodge.

This entire day is set aside for game drives in the Serengeti. The Serengeti, the habitat of an abundance of wildlife such as impala, buffalo, crocodile, and hippo, is more well-known for its great migrating herds of zebra, antelope, and wildebeest. The animals’ trek is determined by the rainfall and varies from year to year. In November and December, the animals move from the northern region, dominated by woodlands and hills, to the grassy plains of the south. During the longer rainy season from April to June, they return to the north. Apart from the migrating herds, you may have the opportunity to see the resident predators, leopards, cheetahs, and lions, fulfilling their role in the circle of life. After an unforgettable day, you will go to Tukaone Camp for dinner and overnight

you'll explore the broader parts of the Serengeti as you travel northwest and follow the wildlife movements. After an early breakfast, you'll depart on a morning game drive carrying a picnic lunch. The game drive will focus on the Mara River and hopefully see herds of migrating animals as they cross the river. You'll continue your game drive until the evening, when you return to Safari Haven Migration Camp for dinner and your overnight stay. Animals can be spotted at the camp.

After breakfast, you will proceed with a game drive. Morning hours are perfect for spotting wildlife as animals are more active during this time. You will head towards the Mara River, where large herds of wildebeests are likely to be found. Look for signs of their movement and gather information from your guide about their current location. Additionally, keep an eye out for predators like lions and hyenas that often follow the herds for an easy meal. You might also encounter elephants, giraffes, and various bird species. Then, you'll return to Tukaone Camp

On this day we spend all morning in Serengeti and in the afternoon, we’ll be heading to Ngorongoro conservation area. We overnight at Farms of Dreams

Today, you're going to do a game drive in the amazing Ngorongoro crater. The Ngorongoro crater has a diameter of about 20 kilometers and a 600-meter-high crater wall. The Ngorongoro Crater is the largest intact crater in the world. The crater life is estimated to be 30,000 larger mammals. In the center of the crater is a Salt Lake. This is one of the most densely populated wildlife areas in the world. It is a unique area where animals and humans, as the authentic Maasai and Hadzabe, live together. From the edge of the crater, look out over the impressive crater and its wonderful inhabitants. In the afternoon, you'll be heading back to Arusha.

Start your day with an early morning pickup from Moshi or Arusha and drive to Materuni Village on the slopes of Mount Kilimanjaro, where you’ll begin with a guided walk through lush banana and coffee plantations while learning about the Chagga culture and local traditions. Continue with a scenic hike to the stunning Materuni Waterfall, enjoying the cool forest, birdsong, and panoramic views before relaxing, swimming, and taking photos at the base of the falls. Afterward, return to the village for a traditional Chagga lunch followed by a hands-on coffee tour, where you’ll participate in roasting, grinding, and brewing fresh Arabica coffee, ending the experience in the afternoon with a return transfer full of memories and authentic local flavors. later after lunch return back and dropped off at the airport or the hotel
