Originally used as a quarantine station, the island is now a peaceful retreat known for its crystal-clear waters, coral reefs, and giant Aldabra tortoises—some over 100 years old. Enjoy a guided tour of the old prison ruins, meet the friendly tortoises, Dik diks, Peacocks and Mangrove forest.
Nakupenda sandbank
Nakupenda is a Swahili word that means “I love you”. This is an ideal place near stone town where you can relax, swim, and snorkel. Around lunch time, you will enjoy your seafood Barbeque lunch with mineral water, soft drinks & tropical fruits under the shade of built up umbrellas, and you will have to relax by swimming and snorkel. Then you will sail back to Stone-town shore.
